A Little About Up-A-Creek

Up A Creek is a small startup. One of us had some woodworking experience, one of us did not. We hand craft unique items for people in all lifestyles. Our primary product is play paddles for adults. We love working with the different woods and seeing what it becomes.

We are very particular about the finish on everything we create. Unless otherwise intended, our finished pieces are as smooth as we can make them. Unless specifically ordered, none of our items are stained or dyed. Many of our toys come from burl wood. 

We began creating and crafting paddles as well as other toys just before Covid so rudely interrupted everyone's lives. We are getting back on track now. As time goes on, we will be expanding our product line to include more wood craft items such as cutting boards, bowls, fractal burnt (Lichtenberg) items, epoxy resin items and more! 

We will also be offering services such as custom wrapping handles, customizing paddles in various ways. So keep your eyes out for these expansions.

NOTE:   Sometimes, we purchase batches of wood that are not marked, and the seller is not sure what all of it is. In those cases we identify it as best we can. We will make a note in any listing that we do not absolutely know the type of wood.
